Step 1

Have a look and feel of our stunning selection of fabrics – from amazing laces, fabulous embroideries and the softest tulles! We will guide you on the most suitable fabrics to achieve the effect you desire when making your choices.

Step 2

Creating Your Wedding Dress Toile

Once you have chosen your fabric and commissioned your bespoke wedding gown, we will take all of your measurements six months prior to your wedding date (with the bra you intend to wear on your wedding day). We will use these to make a calico toile – this is a mock-up of your bespoke wedding dress design which we will then adjust to get that all important perfect fit. Then the fun bit starts! Once your toile has been adjusted to fit you perfectly, work then starts on handcrafting your unique wedding dress.

Step 3

Your First Wedding Dress Fitting

At this stage your bespoke wedding dress will be made in your chosen fabric and will be ready to try on. You will get a good idea of how your dress is going to look at this point. Our brides love this appointment and so do we, it’s such a magical experience seeing how your dream bridal dress is becoming a reality! Expect to make good friends with us! We would usually call you in for 4 or more dress fittings, depending on your individual bespoke wedding dress design.

Step 4

Bridal Styling

Now your beautiful handmade bespoke bridal gown fits like a glove! You imagine the look on your partners face when they see you walking down the aisle. Leeds & Yorkshire Bespoke Wedding Dress FAQs

A bespoke wedding dress is designed and created individually for you, with your unique set of measurements and will be a perfect fit. A made to order bridal gown will be ordered to the nearest size after taking your measurements, and will generally require some alterations for a better fit.

It will usually take six months from start to finish to create your bespoke wedding dress.

We would recommend booking an appointment 12 months before your wedding, however most of our brides tend book at least 18months prior to their wedding date.

You have the option to make changes to the design at the toile stage- a toile is a cotton calico version of your wedding dress design to get the perfect fitting so that we can then make your dress pattern. Once your dress is put into production you will be able to make minor changes to it if the design allows it.
